About

March 12th, 2007; having secured a Canon XL2 video camera for a short period of time, one Brendan Bagley set out with the intent to create a short film on no budget, using whatever resources he could. One fevered Saturday spent giving treats to his yellow lab later, A Dog’s Tale was born. The film was in the can, but a score was needed for this dialogue-less opus, thus Brendan enlisted the aid of Jeremy Anderson, who managed to crank out a piano score on nothing but a two octave midi keyboard. This was the beginning of an epic alliance in moviemaking, and so many more projects are in the works, and who knows, maybe they’ll even have a script…

Shoe String Guerrilla Productions is a student film making outfit based in both Harrisonburg and Fairfax Virginia. This is our blog where we will post movie reviews of new releases, thoughts on movies on dvd, our own films and anything else that pops into our heads. Thanks for reading, and we hope you enjoy!

We often work with the highly talented folks over at Canopy Radio (Fairfax, Virginia’s BEST bi-weekly jungle glitch-hop podcast); please check out their music and nonsensical writings.
